The KLO Neighbourhood Association brings together 40 volunteers to create a Block Party atmosphere for this years festival. This event is hot on the heels of the opening of Kelowna’s Newest Waterfront Park just a block away.
The festival brings more than 2000 visitors to the SOPA Square area of Pandosy. Over 40 artists and crafters will show and sell their work in a vibrant community festival atmosphere. Emerging artists will also display one piece of their work with a short bio. Crafters will set up along the street boulevard and a parking lot by Bread co. Two food trucks will locate on the street by the exhibits. Children can build a Jenga tower or hold baby chicks while other children do face painting. Visitors will be treated to the Celtic duo of Shamma Sabir and Andrew Mercer (genius of
Cod Gone Wild). The SOPA square courtyard will be serenaded again by the Tap-Style nostalgic guitar music of Andrew Smith and his son.
Visitors can stroll to Sopa Fine Arts to see their current collection of contemporary Canadian and international Art complete with DJ music in the background. Then stroll around the corner to Gallery 421 for their special one day event with live music and demonstrations of paintings and sculptures from a number of professional Canadian Artists. Finally, complete the stroll at Tutt St. Gallery for original contemporary art by local, regional and national artists.
